3. Practical Placements
All students will undertake a practical placement where they can gain ‘hands-on’ experience and seek to apply the daytime GAP YEAR teaching to life situations. Each placement will have a designated ‘specialist’ who will guide, teach and encourage the student through the duration of the course.
Practical placements include:
- Worship
- Church Planting
- Youth and Children’s Ministry
- Evangelism
- Preaching
- Intercession & Prophecy
- Audio-visuals & Multi-media
4. Mentoring
Each student will be assigned a personal mentor (if possible, from their ‘home church’) for the duration of the course. Through this relationship students will be able to work through areas from their past to release the full potential of their future ‘in Christ’. Through openness faith will be stretched and character strengthened.
5. Overseas Mission
Each year a week long mission trip is organised, usually within Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply GAP YEAR teaching and to develop team and leadership skills. Accommodation and food is provided on the overseas mission but participants will need to pay their travel expenses (this normally is about £150).
